Beyond the bricks and mortar of our communities, what makes the Community Relations Department of the Coachella Valley Housing Coalition unique and essential is its commitment to strengthening communities and growing the unique skills of its residents through comprehensive Resident Services programs that include: access to early childhood education centers, after-school learning and recreation programs; asset building programs such as homeownership education, financial literacy, credit repair, and housing counseling; computer technology classes, a college scholarship program, and a variety of other Resident Services programs that both enrich and engage residents and connect them to services at their affordable housing communities.
Residents are offered a myriad of opportunities with the support of the best providers in the field in an effort to enrich the lives and livelihoods of the people living in CVHC housing.

LOT TOT EQUIPMENT
Tot Lot Equipment
Due to weather extremes and heavy usage, our tot lot equipment needs constant maintenance and upgrading. You or your company can become a tot lot hero with an annual gift.
SUMMER TENNIS CAMP
Summer Tennis Camp
Fifty children from our communities enter a new world every summer when they attend our four-week tennis camp at one of the world’s foremost venues, Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Top professionals teach game basics, adherence to rules, the honor system, teamwork and etiquette. It is an exhilarating experience that builds confidence and character.
SCHOLARHIPS
Scholarships
Deserving college-bound students living with their families in CV Housing annually receive $500 to $1,000 scholarships to help them with their tuition, books and other expenses. These future community leaders are attending prestigious colleges, universities and numerous schools across the country. There are many occasions for acknowledgement throughout the year. The one sponsors cherish most is the JFM Scholarship Award luncheon where family, friends, CV Housing staff and media come to honor these dedicated scholars.
TOOLS FOR A QUALITY LIFE
Tools for a Quality Life
Our community services programs expose young residents to art, opera, computer technology and health and wellness, all components for quality living and good health. These programs are offered at no charge to young residents of our 32 multi-family complexes.
KID'S CLUBS
Kid's Clubs
Choose to champion one or more clubs for one calendar year at 11 of our family communities. Kids Clubs are the core of family success. Parents focus on work knowing their children are safe and productive. All clubs offer tutoring, help with homework, organized physical play, computer labs, teamwork opportunities, nutritious snacks and more.
BALLET FOLKLORIO
Ballet Folklorio
Our other superb ambassadors are the 30 youngsters who represent us in the beautiful tradition of Ballet Folklorico, where cultural heritage is captured in dance. A one-year sponsorship provides professional tutelage, the colorful full-skirted costumes and sashes, dance shoes and hair accessories. You will be delighted to be recognized as our sponsor at every performance where the beauty, joy and energy of Ballet Folklorico comes to life.
MARIACHI
Mariachi
Make it possible annually for 25 youths to carry on the great musical tradition of Mexico. This generation of musicians, ages 6 to 18, is taught twice weekly by an outstanding music professional. Outfitted with traditional costumes, string instruments and cases, these young musical ambassadors perform at major Coachella Valley events throughout the year. There will be many ways to recognize your support, including sponsorship announcements every time the Mariachi band performs.

Make an annual pledge to support all of the programs offered at any one of our 32 multi-family complexes. These range from kids clubs and quality-of-life education to replacing tot-lot equipment. You or your company becomes the angel for the location of your choice.

Supporters of Coachella Valley Housing Coalition who prefer to make significant gifts as part of their estate planning are invited to make an appointment with Bruce Yeager, our Resource Development Manager.
